Capacity Building

AIHD ensures the improvement of human resource capacity by offering internship opportunities, conducting strategic trainings, seminars and workshops for staff, exchange programs, team building exercise and retreats.

Current interns at AIHD;

Louisa Oriema holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Foods, Nutrition and Dietetics from Kenyatta University and is a certified web designer. Before joining the Institute she had worked as a Nutritionist & Dietician intern at The Nairobi Hospital and later as a programme intern at Mercy USA for Aid and Development. Through hard work and dedication she has been promoted to assistant Monitoring and Evaluation officer at AIHD from her previous position as NCD & NTD programmes intern.

Norah Osiyo Dwelle holds a Bachelor of Science in Population Health from Kenyatta University (2015). Norah joined the Institute in March 2017 as an intern supporting NCDAK activities. Before joining the institute she worked as an intern at KEMRI-CDC.

Anacleter Chepkorir Marisin holds a B.A Sociology from Moi University (2013). Anacleter is currently an intern supporting the Malteser NCD project. Before joining the Institute she was an intern under the Kenya Youth Empowerment Project (KYEP).
